Our producers' social conditions are a major concern for the entire company. This is why we have been a member of the amfori-BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) sustainability initiative since 2014. This shows our commitment to socially acceptable production and working conditions in our supply chains. The amfori-BSCI code of conduct is primarily based on the core conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), international agreements such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, guidelines on children's rights and entrepreneurial practices, the UN ""Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights"", the OECD directives and the UN Global Compact. As a member of amfori, we call for and promote proper working conditions in the supply chains and are committed to observing and implementing the internationally applicable working conditions and human rights standards. Among other things, we do not endorse forced labour and child labour. All of our suppliers recognise the amfori-BSCI code of conduct and are bound to apply the relevant guidelines and requirements in both their own and their producers' business. We follow a risk-based monitoring approach and arrange for independent inspections.
